Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of HexCode Manufacturing's 3D printing and manufacturing services. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that violates this AUP.

2. Permitted Uses

Our services may be used to manufacture parts and products for lawful purposes including:

  • Functional prototypes and product development
  • Industrial components and engineering applications
  • Film, television, and video game props and set pieces
  • Architectural models and design presentations
  • Educational and research purposes
  • Medical device components (subject to applicable regulations)
  • Consumer products compliant with applicable safety standards

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to manufacture or produce:

  • Weapons, firearms, firearm components, or any items intended to cause bodily harm
  • Items that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights, including patented designs, trademarks, or copyrighted works
  • Counterfeit goods or replicas designed to deceive consumers
  • Items intended for use in illegal activities under Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal law
  • Hazardous materials, drug paraphernalia, or items facilitating illegal substance use
  • Products that violate export control regulations or trade sanctions

4. Intellectual Property

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any designs, files, or specifications you submit to us. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your submitted designs do not infringe upon any third-party patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights. HexCode Manufacturing assumes no liability for IP infringement arising from customer-supplied designs.

5. Compliance with Laws

You are responsible for ensuring that any items manufactured comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to product safety standards, industry-specific regulations, and export control laws. Orders destined for export must comply with all applicable Canadian export regulations and international trade laws.

6. Enforcement

HexCode Manufacturing reserves the right to review any order for compliance with this AUP. We may refuse, suspend, or cancel orders at our sole discretion if we believe they violate this policy. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent suspension of your account and access to our services. We may report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
